Self-love. Does it seem like you’re hearing that a lot? It may be a buzz term, but it’s a popular one for a reason. We all could work in loving ourselves more, but how do we start? For me, I believe it requires a LOT of letting go. I’ve narrowed this down to five main things:

  1. Other’s opinions. Respect who you are, and let others’ opinions go. Being yourself means living life how you want to live it, regardless of others’ approval.
  2. Shame and guilt from your past mistakes. These do not define you. These were learning experiences designed to help you discover your true morals, values, and focus.
  3. Fear of failure. If Plan A doesn’t work, there’s still 25 more letters in the alphabet to use. Let go of the outcome. Just focus on your goal. Don’t discard it.
  4. Resentments. Toward yourself and others. These are toxic and keep us trapped in a cycle of defeat. Let them go.
  5. Things you cannot change. Concentrate on what you have control over in your life, and let go of the things you don’t.

If you commit to living every day with these intentions, one day you will wake up and realize how positively your life has changed.

It truly is this simple!

I believe in you.
