We are one week in, and I’m seeing a lot more panic.

May I repeat: We are ONE WEEK in.

And I certainly don’t judge people feeling this way. Not at all. 🙏🏼

My fears like to show up in the form of insomnia, which I’m experiencing this evening, and which is the reason I’m typing away right now. ☺️

It’s okay if you’re feeling scared. It’s also okay if you’re not there yet. But I do believe everyone will be feeling a little off at best as we further progress into this space, into this “new normal”.

Let me share something with you.

I want you to think of the scariest or most uncertain time of your life (prior to this), and I want you to go back to that space and remember how it felt when you were actively living it.

You’ve been here before, Guys. It’s just different now.

It’s just NEW.

That’s a lesson I learned in yoga when having to once again go into a very uncomfortable pose with some of my lung capacity cut off, making me fight with my mind to find the new kind of deep breathing to get through it.

The second time you go into the pose during the same practice session, you must remember you’ve been here before. It’s just different. But you know what to do. Why? Because you’ve been here before.

You know what to do.

I was always told yoga was about learning how to tame the mind. Now I get what these Yogis meant by that.

Maybe you’ve been through a very scary marriage. Maybe you’ve lost a loved one. Maybe you’ve filed bankruptcy. Maybe you’ve been cheated on in your marriage. Maybe you remember dealing with panic before you let something into your life to relieve that.

You’ve gotten yourself this far. You’re gonna get through this too.

This new space is challenging. It’s uncertain. It’s scary. But you have something deep down within you that knows exactly what to do.

Mute the external chatter.

And listen to that voice. 🙏🏼
